DMLC Treatment

• The "Treatment Field Details" in VARiS show that the MLC plan is dynamic.
• After uploading the MLC file to the MLC controller, the current shape of the MLC is linked to the gantry angle, even if the gantry is rotated manually with the hand pendant.
• During rotation, the MLC controller interpolates leaf positions linearly between two consecutive shapes. This results in a very smooth leaf movement. If the gantry is rotated manually and the leaves are watched, about every 2 degrees a small leav movement can be observed.
• Dose rate during treatment is constant (intensity modulation will be supported by VARiS 1.4, current version is 1.3)
