With the Cadplan-Varis-Clinac system it is possible to perform treatments with the Dynamic MLC (DMLC) at our institute. "Conformal Arc" (Cadplan) and "Dynamic Arc" (Varis) mean arc treatments where the MLC shape changes dynamically depending on the gantry angle.

The process of planning, treatment and verification of a conformal arc shall be demonstrated with a simple example:

• 3D-planning of a "Conformal Arc" treatment in Cadplan
• Irradiation of a "Film stack " with the dynamic MLC
• Dosimetric evatuation of the films and comparison with the plan
• Application to a more"realistic target".
