For the first 5 patients, which were planned with CadPlan 6.1, we helped ourself by automatically detecting closed leaf pairs that are moving (drawn in red), and freezing these leaf pairs to an off-axis position. The gap is covered with the jaws. This saved us some 20 to 50% of treatment time, depending on the motion pattern. Of course, each time a DMLC file is modified, the dosimetry of this field should be checked.
(Note: I do not provide any animation download possibility here, because the animations are not so spectacular. All you can see is that the closed red leaf pair moves over the field in the upper image whereas it stays at rest for the whole treatment in the lower image.)
