More than 2 years ago, our two linacs were upgraded with the DMLC, and since CadPlan was not ready yet at that time, we performed tests with a home-made leaf motion calculator and got beautiful images on radiographic film like this one. Then in September the same year, when we got the CadPlan 604 beta version, we started testing the CadPlan/Helios system, after contouring high sophisticated targets like this one. This was also the time we included the DMLC into our weekly checkout procedures on the linacs. Then, half a year later, we installed the first clinical CadPlan version and started with serious dosimetric testing, and after we had verified several complete patient plans over the Summer 2000, we successfully treated the first patient in December last year. Altogether we treated 5 patients planned with CadPlan 6.1, and in the end of March we switched to CadPlan 6.2.7, which is the current version.
