VARiS and Vision
VARiS is the information system of our institute. It contains
and gives access to all patient related text data. Vision holds the image data
base.
All imaging devices (Simulator, CT option, PortalVision,
C-arm in the Brachytherapy) are fully integrated.
Hardware:
- Two dual-Pentium HP-Netservers, each with 128 MB RAM.
- Windows NT 4.0, IBM network with 100 MBit/s.
- 3-fold data security:
- RAID 5 harddisk array
- daily database dump
- daily streamer tape backup
- about 30 HP-Vectra PCs, each with access to all patient
data (text and image data).
